The short version: Hourtown has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your city lives on your device. Location is optional and rounded before it leaves your device.

Who we are

Hourtown is made by OMANN.ORG ApS, Bakkegårds Allé 8, Frederiksberg, Denmark, which is responsible for the data described here. Questions or requests: support@hourtown.app.

The app

Your city and sessions

Your sessions and your city are saved on your device. We do not receive them.

Location

Location is optional. Hourtown asks only when you turn it on, uses approximate location while the app is open, and rounds it to about 10 km. That rounded position is sent to a weather service to fetch the weather for your city. It is never stored anywhere but your device. If you do not share your location, Hourtown estimates season and weather from your time zone and makes no network request for it.

Notifications

Session reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device. No server is involved.

Purchases

Apple processes all purchases. We never see your payment details, only whether a purchase is active.

Tracking and analytics

The app contains no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics.

This website

hourtown.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.

The launch email

If you leave your email address to hear about the launch, we store it with Cloudflare and use it for that one email. We delete the list once the launch email has gone out. You can ask us to delete your address sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to support@hourtown.app. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
